Celebrate 175 Years of H. Upmann with this intricate new blend from H. Upmann & the renowned Grupo de Maestros!
Premium cigar manufacturer Altadis U.S.A. is commemorating the Upmann brand’s monumental milestone with one of the most unique collaborations ever offered within the banner’s time-honored portfolio: the H. Upmann Connecticut by Grupo de Maestros.
Introduced by the prominent cigar maker at this year’s IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, the H. Upmann Connecticut by Grupo de Maestros is a celebratory new premium release from two of the cigar industry’s most prolific names— cigar master Rafael Nodal, the head of product capability for Tabacalera U.S.A.— and Altadis’ renowned team of master cigar blenders, the Grupo de Maestros.
A decadent release first envisioned by Nodal, development soon turned to the famed Grupo de Maestros blending team, a skilled brotherhood of talented cigar blenders and artisans, who combine for over 200 years of premium cigar making. With the group’s signature crafting methods, and an ideology which upholds the strictest levels of quality, the Grupo de Maestros implored the use of prime tobaccos and their gifted approach to cigar making, to create an exquisite Upmann release worthy of commemorating the Upmann landmark.
H. Upmann Connecticut by Grupo de Maestros cigars are covered in a refined Connecticut-seed wrapper, with each head topped with dark maduro caps. This creative approach ensures each of these distinct cigars to be bolder and fuller in flavor than most traditional Connecticut releases. Under the cigar’s intricately rolled leaf, this celebratory Upmann features a choice Dominican binder, along with a robust blend of savory filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua— including a layer of specially-cultivated Pilotico tobacco, for a profile of incomparable complexity!
This celebratory new Connecticut offering is offered to consumers in four masterfully built vitolas: 52 x 5” Robusto, 50 x 6” Toro, 52 x 6 1/8” Belicoso, and a 48 x 6 ¾” Churchill offering— each handcrafted within the illustrious Tabacalera de Garcia factory of La Romana, Dominican Republic. All releases are presented in attractive 20-count boxes, and features an MSRP of $8.35 – $8.95 per cigar.
